11 March 2014 Eleven club members were sworn in under the Fisheries Act (NI) 1966 as private water bailiffs to protect the fishery on the Glenavy River from its source at Stoneyford to Lough Neagh and all tributary waters.

Former detailed and informative training was provided by members of The Fisheries Conservancy Board on March 12th. 2009, during which Notes for Private Water Bailiffs were distributed.
